Virginia has a program to help home caregivers get a little respite. The detail below were taken from the State of Virginia’s website.
The Virginia Lifespan Respite Voucher Program was created to provide reimbursement vouchers to home-based family caregivers for the cost of temporary, short-term respite care provided to their family members with disabilities (children and adults, including elderly persons).
This project is supported by a grant, HHS-2014-ACL-AOA-LI-0078, from the Administration for Community Living, Department of Health and Human Services, Washington, DC 20201. Grantees undertaking projects under government sponsorship are encouraged to express freely their findings and conclusions.
